Each BTDHD school based clinic is staffed with a full-time registered nurse. An array of medical/educational services is provided including, but not limited to the following: preventative health care/maintenance, school physicals, immunizations, scoliosis screenings, vision, and hearing screenings. Students and staff also receive education regarding various health and social issues.

School physical requirements:

Students entering school for the first time must have:

• A physical exam before enrollment
• Updated immunization records

Students entering 6th grade must have:

• A physical exam before enrollment
• Updated immunization records

These services are provided by the health nurse in each of the district's schools.
