The Health Access Nurturing Development Services (HANDS) home visit program is voluntary program in which health department works visit the homes of caregivers and expecting parents to help them learn more about caring for infants and children.
A few areas in which support is offered are:
- Information to support healthy pregnancy
- Baby care information; information on ways to help keep babies safe; facts about babies’ growth and development;activities to stimulate babies’ brain development;
- Information on other community resources.
