The Health Access Nurturing Development Services (HANDS) home visit program is a voluntary program in which the health department works to visit the homes of caregivers and expecting parents to help them learn more about caring for infants and children.
A few areas in which support is offered are:
- Information to support a healthy pregnancy
- Baby care information: information on ways to help keep babies safe; facts about babies’ growth and development; activities to stimulate babies’ brain development.
- Information on other community resources.
